Small Groups
Small groups make it easier to speak, practise with others, and receive specific feedback on grammar, vocabulary, and speaking points.
Small-group language courses in Kolkata for learners who want clear structure, steady practice, and personal attention.
Kolkata Language Center offers language courses and tutoring with a focus on small-group learning. Since 2018, we have worked with adult beginners, continuing learners, and friends or community groups who want a practical way to build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Our courses are organized around level screening, group and timetable matching, course terms confirmation, and scheduled lessons with guided practice. We also provide periodic progress summaries and course materials with a preparation list so learners can follow the course comfortably.

Built for small groups, clear scheduling, and steady progress that fits real study routines.
The center was founded by Arjun Mukherjee with a simple idea: language learning works best when learners can participate often, ask questions freely, and practise in a setting that stays manageable. That is why our courses are designed for small groups rather than large classrooms.
A typical term course runs for 10 weeks with 2 lessons per week. Placement is required so each learner can join a group that matches their level and timetable. This helps keep lessons focused and makes group practice more useful for everyone involved.
We offer classroom study in Kolkata and online lessons, with booking available by phone, email, contact form, or online consultation. Learning progress depends on the starting level, attendance, independent practice, learning needs, and the course duration.

Practical teaching, structured support, and a course format that stays realistic for busy learners.

We use level screening and timetable matching to place learners in a course that fits their current stage and weekly routine.
Guided peer practice gives learners regular chances to work together in a structured way, including paired exercises and conversation tasks.
Periodic progress summaries help learners track what they have covered and what to practise next, without promising fixed results.
